My name is Linda Carney, and I am so glad you have found your way to this page! Just a little about me, and why I am here.
Back in 1999, I was a stay at home wife and mom and step mom to teenagers. I was happy and felt I was right where I wanted to be in life. In the Fall of that year, I became ill with a multitude of mystery symptoms, which doctors could not diagnose.
Doctor after doctor, test after test, all normal. So why did I feel so ill? I was tired, dizzy, nauseous 24/7 and had no idea why. That began a long journey of feeling misunderstood, lonely and discouraged. I was diagnosed eventually with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which at that time, there was not much known about it.
Very few doctors believed it was a “thing”. I finally found a doctor who did believe it was a “thing”, and she believed in me. She didn’t have answers, but she stuck with me to keep searching. Together with her, I eventually kicked that illness to the curb.
Now my mission is to not allow those years of struggle to be wasted. I intend to spend the rest of my life telling my story, with the hopes of inspiring others who may be in the midst of that struggle themselves. I learned a lot along the way about myself and about how to overcome obstacles.
If I could do it, I believe with all my heart that you can too!
I am an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, trained and certified at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
What is an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach? I help you to look at your Circle of Life, which will include things such as Nutrition, Career, Relationships, Spirituality, Education, Physical Activity, Your Environment, and many others, for the purpose of finding your key to living your best life!
Since my certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I have been busy adding to my knowledge, skill and certifications. I believe firmly in the Mind/Body Connection and in using this connection to enhance your wellness.
With that being said, I have obtained certification in a cutting edge, science backed emotional resilience technique called “HeartMath Emotional Resilience. I am now a Certified HeartMath Practitioner, and I have learned how to help you manage your stress and improve your health through a variety of “Heart Focused Breathing” techniques, incorporating science and technology to help you track your progress!
I am also soon to be certified in “Women’s Health Issues”, as well as “Mind/Body Therapies” which will allow me to better understand how physical, emotional and spiritual issues affect us, as women, on a daily basis. I will know how, and be able, to come along side you and help you find and learn the best tools and coping skills, incorporating Mind/Body Therapies, such as meditation and mindfulness techniques for you to use to enhance your wellness and increase your joy.
I am excited to have the opportunity to share with you the things I’ve learned and incorporated into my own daily wellness practices. Together, we will find “Your Path Forward”!
